Reiki is Japanese for 'universal life force energy'. It is a gentle healing technique that promotes the natural flow of energy through the body and can be very helpful to people especially at difficult times in our lives.
A Reiki session facilitates the natural healing ability of the body and promotes a feeling of rest, balance and harmony, by dealing holistically with our emotions, physical, spiritual and mental issues.
Reiki promotes:
- deep relaxation
- helps calm stress and anxiety
- improves sleep and digestion
- helps pain management, muscle tension and discomfort
- increases personal awareness and self-esteem.
Reiki is channelled through the hands if in person, while you remain clothed and comfortably lie on a couch or sit on a chair. It can also be channelled from a distance without the need to visit a practitioner. You may feel a warmth, coolness, tingling sensation or nothing thus helping you to relax and rebalance your energies.
I found Reiki while on a quest to improve my health and wellbeing. After some years of receiving it, I felt I had to learn Reiki, as I wanted to be able to share it and help others.
